The KIDS

Just a couple of photos of the little ones. Cassidy has really done a great job with Ethan. She has learned how to change his diaper, and even changed a poopy diaper the other day. As for Ethan, it is amazing to watch him when Cass is around . When she is talking you can see that he looks around to find her.

Last Night's Hike

The family decided to take a little walk down to Gramma's and Papa's
Cass wants to be just like Mommy so she had to bring her own baby down. Lucky for us she walked the whole way just like Mommy
Ethan is right at home in the woods. Daddy says it is a good thing as he will be spending plenty of time in it.

Papa's Red Moutain Jam Band

Papa has gotten the grandkids together for a little pickin' practice. In no time at all they will be touring. So check back in for future dates.

Weekend Ends

The kids all enjoyed being able to walk around and see the animals on Uncle Fred's Farm

We even had a sleepover one night with the boys. They were so good and everyone made it through the night.

Memorial Day

Our little setup for the long weekend. We spent our first camping weekend down in the Pickering field. Such a great getaway at a convenient location

Turkey Season

Cass has really enjoyed our walks to gout out turkey roosting. Well it has been pretty scarce up behind the house lately. Here is a picture of the only two "Old Birds" left up on Red Mountain.

First Memorial Day

Got thinking the other night about how Cass and E will be experiencing things at about the same time as they are born within a week of one another. Ethan is actually a week older than Cass as we get to these points in time. So here is the first comparison. The two pictures are taken right around their first Memorial Day. Enjoy.

Evening Strolls

Here are a couple pics of Cass as we went hiking this evening. She likes to bring along her turkey call. The other night she even got a turkey to gobble for her up in back. She was so amazed to hear it. This evening she also discovered the honeysuckle patch that is up in back. She actually remembered it from last year and asked about it as we went out walking. She says I can show the pictures, but I can't tell anyone where it is. (Our little secret)

Errin has really done an excellent job getting things looking nice around the house. She really enjoys it as well. She only needs to find a way to keep Cassidy out of the flowers.

Spring has Sprung

Best Friends

I never would have believed that a dog can develop a personality, but Sidd is proof of it. He has truly become a part of our family. it is so funny to watch how Cass and him interact, here they are hanging out in the front yard. Sidd seems to stay around Cass to make sure she does get into trouble and Cass seems to enjoy him as a playmate. It is also amazing that Sidd just seems to deal with the abuse that Cassidy gives him.

Life on the Farm

Pickering Family Reunion???

Cass has found her new hobby. Going down to Uncle Fred's to look at all of the animals. Right now the "piggies" are her favorite.

Hiking

Mother's Day we took a little hike a up to the Falls to have a picnic. The walk was nice and the weather was beautiful.
Cass is sure turning into quite the little hiker. She so enjoys the woods. Long Trail here we come.
Mom and Ethan also enjoyed the hike. Errin carried the little guy the whole way and did a fine job.
Dad and Ethan stopped for a quick picture. Everyone says that Ethan looks just like his Dad did.
Cass of course had to have her picture with Ethan.

Hiking & Caving

Here are some photos of our little trek out into the woods of Red Mountain. We really had a great afternoon, it was just so good to be outside. We took the four wheeler to the croooked tree via camp. then walked out the the cave by eagle Rock. Yesterday I helped some cavers find the cave in the woods and today we all hiked up to watch them go in the cave.
The cavers were a really nice group of people from Montreal, Quebec. They were more than accommodating and answered all of our questions. It was real interesting to watch them get set and then go down in. After an hour or so we said our goodbyes and hiked on out.
