Great Weather Means Great Fun

Well Cassidy continues to really have a blast at Island Pond. She loves playing with the neighbors and they are really so great to Cassidy. She has become just one of the Gang. Cassidy is also really awaiting the arrival of Masey. She keeps asking, "How many more sleeps till Mase gets here?". Only a few days till then. The last picture is her new friend "Yurtle" the turtle. He is only about as big around as a golf ball. Let's just hope that Cass doesn't love the little fella to death.

Little E Chillin'

Just a couple of more pics of the little guy. He was so good today, he just seems to really love it outside. He didn't even fuss when we made him pose for all of the pictures.

Ethan chillin at Island Pond

Ethan and Mommy hanging out lakeside. They had to find some shade to stay out of the sun.

The stare by Ethan. Probably deep in thought, or just pooping his pants.

Ethan decides that he enjoys his fingers as much as anything else. We also thin he is getting some teeth.

I love my Big Sister.

Hello from Island Pond

Cass and her friend Allie saying goodbye. Cass said that me making her take this picture was, "So embarrassing", and I guess the face says it all.

Cass, myself and some of her friends swam out to the dock. Cass really loves playing with the guys that are next to us and they are so good to her.

Playing with Papa in the sand. The day was actually much nicer than most predicted. So we took advantage.

We also took some time to kayak. This was Cass, Gramma, and Daddy. Of course Cass had to paddle.

Cass walking to the store. If you notice Cass had to change clothes about five times a day in our attempt to keep her dry and sand free.

As I said Cass and the kids next door just had a ball. The boys had canoes and also used the kayak. They let Cass help them get off the shore and also just pull them around.

The kids next door include four boys Ben(12), Hayden and Zach(11 twins), and Jesse(11). There is also one girl Cassandra(12).

Hope all is well.

Masey I can't wait to see you

"You see over there Allie. That is where my cousin Masey lives and she will be here in a few days. I can't wait to see her."
"Wow, Cassidy. Masey lives way over there?"

Happy to be in Island Pond

THE BUS CAME BY AND WE GOT ON

Finally we are headed out on vacation to Island Pond. It sure seems like it has been a long time coming. We are going to try and keep up on the blog as we may have internet access. But who knows if we will have the time. Hope everyone enjoys their summer.

Blue Heron Heronry

On the east side of route 7 in Kesick Swamp we saw these weird nests up in the trees.
Upon further review we noticed that they contained birds, Blue Herons.
Great blue herons nest together in colonies, otherwise known as a heronry, and are sensitive to the effects of human disturbances.

Where in the US are they?

The mountain in the background was called "tahwahbodeay wadso" (resting place mountain) by Natives Americans. The first Europeans to see it named it "Le Lion Couchant" (Sleeping Lion). It is not the highest peak in the state. It also appears in the background of the new state quarter and on the state flag.

Happy Father's Day

Today was Father's Day and our little family had such a great day. We went and saw Papa and Gramma (Pickering). They were up in Winhall camping. Then we went down to Papa and Nonnie (Walsh's) house to see them. It is a day like this that we realize just how lucky we truly are. Two great kids and two wonderful families to be a part of.

Cassidy taking it all in.

Cassidy has totally taken to the outdoors and her Daddy just loves it. Anytime we go somewhere outdoors Cassidy loves it and could spend all day just exploring (like Dora). All we need is a stick (to walk with) and a cup (to collect critters) and we are set to go.

First Supper

Errin decided it was time to try feeding Ethan some real food. So here is his first true meal. According to Errin he really liked the cereal. Now we just have to practice the eating part of it all.

Ethan and Cassidy

Here are a couple of pictures of Ethan (left) and Cassidy (right) during the first week of June, they are both about three and a half months old at the time of the photo. Seems that Little E is starting to get some of those "chubby cheeks" that his big sister once had.

Where in the US are they?

This beautiful view as created around 5700 BC. The lake is the deepest in the United States and the seventh deepest in the world (depending where you get your information). This whole area was recognized by the United States on May 2, 1902. The lake is also one of the clearest lakes in the entire world. The island in the middle of lake is known as Wizard Island.

Peaceful Easy Feeling

Sleepover

Well Cassidy had a little sleepover this weekend. Brayden (B-Man) came over and spent the night. They did so well and really seem to get along (most of the time). They both slept upstairs with Errin and Ethan in the bed.
Then on Sunday they played and outside and swam in the pool.
They both really wanted Masey to com and play. In the video they are asking when Masey will be down.

Buddha

Found this picture of Buddha and was impressed with the size of it. Also could not believe the people that were going to see the statue.

Where in the US are they?

Here is a little picture of the kids while we were camping. I took the kids out and put in a different background. So go ahead and take a guess where they are. I will let you know next week.
