Found this picture of Buddha and was impressed with the size of it. Also could not believe the people that were going to see the statue.

It would truly be a dream come true for those two little girls to go see Buddha...well one of them atleast....
What I found interesting seeing Buddhist stuff in Asia was the swastika emblem on a lot of it- just like on this Buddha statue. Odd that the Nazis used a symbol so associated with a peaceful faith.
When I was in Japan we visited a huge Buddha statue in Nara. It is one of, if not the largest, indoor Buddha statues in the world.
Those are my girls!
